About The Conference:

Theme: Creating Community, Connection, Clarity, and Confidence Australia wide

The Equine Assisted Practice conference will focus on deepening our understanding of the emerging characteristics and unique ways Equine Assisted services are delivered in the Australian context while highlighting opportunities to foster vibrant networks among equine-assisted practitioners, enhancing clarity in practice and instilling confidence for the future.

The conference is open to all Equine Assisted practitioners engaged or interested in Equine Assisted Treatment and Education, for example those trained/interested in offering Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Learning.

Key Focus Areas:

Creating Community: Build a supportive and inclusive network for practitioners to share insights, experiences, and resources. Encourage ongoing relationships that extend beyond the conference.

Connection to Fellow Practitioners: Engage in interactive sessions and group activities promoting collaboration and idea exchange. Facilitate discussions that highlight shared challenges and solutions within the field.

Clarity in Our Work: Defining best practices and ethical guidelines in equine-assisted interventions. Creating capacity to effectively communicate the benefits, efficacy and impact of equine-assisted practices.

Confidence Moving Forward: Empower practitioners with knowledge and skills to advance their work and overcome challenges. Showcase success stories and evidence-based practices that inspire confidence in the field.

Conference Activities: 

 

    • Keynote Speakers: We have several experts who will bring their knowledge and experience to build our understanding of the current challenges and opportunities in this sector.

    • Lecture style presentations: Engaging and interactive knowledge-based sharing to deepen our understanding of EA practices. 

    • Workshops: Hands-on sessions designed to develop practical skills and share innovative approaches.

    • Pony Tales: Lived experience stories 

    • Panel Discussions: Engaging and lively conversations featuring seasoned community members.

    • At the Gallop: Speed Networking! This will be a fast and fun way to make important connections for collaborations, supervision, further training, building partnerships, cross pollination and inspiration…so bring your marketing material! 

    • The Stable Table: optional, fun infused dinner on Friday evening (details below).

There are also lots of fabulous local options nearby on the Central Coast. 

Bookings and payments for accommodation are the responsibility of the participant and not included in the conference price.

The Stable Table: Optional dinner on Friday evening will be a great way to unwind and continue some casual networking over a relaxing drink and delicious meal. All welcome for a bit of fun and laughter.

Cost of $690 includes 2 full conference days where you will hear from some of the leaders and key people in the sector, lunch and refreshments Friday and Saturday and all required learning materials.

Presenter Details:

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for Conference Presenters!

Our intention with this conference is to bring a dynamic and engaging learning experience showcasing the diverse nature of equine assisted practices in Australia to inform services from solo providers to larger organisations.

To this end, we invite practitioners, researchers, and other professionals in the field to consider presenting in one of two ways; 30 minute presentation or workshop/experiential learning OR Pony Tales: sharing a lived experience from clients.
